Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was named the Fed-Ex NFL Ground Player of the Week after having a record-setting day against the Cincinnati Bengals last week. In rushing for 152 yards and a touchdown last week, he became the first quarterback to throw for 230+ yards and rush for 150+ yards in the Super Bowl era, as well as winning the Fed-Ex Ground Award.
His Fed-Ex NFL Ground Award this week follows his amazing season opening game against Miami where he won the Fed-Ex NFL Air Award. He is the first quarterback in the history of the award to win the Ground award and now, of course, he is the first to win both Fed-Ex NFL Air and Ground Awards.
Lamar Jackson continues to rack up awards and records for his performances this year and fans should really sit back and enjoy this as we may be watching sports history unfolding. He is one of the most exciting players in the game today.
